Mr. Daniel Chimezie Chukwuazawom is a professional Accountant with niche in Internal Auditing, passionate about enhancing, adding and creating value for organizations he works for as a highly organized and self-driven individual. He assists management and their organizations to improve operations and achieve objectives by providing objective risk based assurance, advice and insight.

He is a Chief Audit Executive (CAE) that provides strategic leadership and direction to the Internal Audit function in carrying out a wide range of business process improvements across business units. He has over 20 years widespread work experience in the Oil and Gas, (downstream operations), Aviation, Lubricant, Retail, Shipping and Marine, Telecommunications, Hospitality, Manufacturing and Insurance that include 15 years in Internal Auditing.

He has developed internal audit functions from the scratch to best practices and also standardized work practices of existing ones to align with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards. This involved clarity/distinction of Control/Compliance, risk and internal audit roles in the lines of defence.
His passion for excellence has led to a proven track record of consistently exceeding performance targets because he always aspires to bring significant positive organizational changes through strong audit representations to those in charge of governance. He is proactive, innovative and highly influential and always seeking to fix challenges in a system with unique character that builds trust among business leaders.

He is a Fellow (FCCA) of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) UK, Fellow (FCA) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Certified Forensic Accountant of Nigeria (CFAN,), Associate member (ACTI) of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), A Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) of (ACFE), USA and a CPA, CGA of Canada.

He holds academic qualifications up to a Master’s Degree; MBA in Finance from Ladoke University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Nigeria and MSc from University of London, UK.
